The various eligibility criteria defined by the UPPCL are as follows:

- Qualification: Graduation degree from UGC approved university with knowledge of Hindi language for post serial 01, 02 & 5
Graduation and typing speed of 60 words per minute in Hindi, 80 words per minute in English for Post serial. 03,
Graduation with typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi and 40 words per minute in English for Post serial 04
