Corporation Bank bags SME awards: The bank has attained the first rank based on performance in MSE
lending and the second rank based on performance in lending to micro enterprises. S R Bansal, Chairman
and Managing Director of the bank, received the awards from the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during
the national awards function in New Delhi.
 Indian Bank bags national excellence award in MSE: Indian Bank has bagged national award for excellence
in lending to micro enterprises for 2012-2013, for the consecutive second year. The award was received by
Indian Bank Chairman and Managing Director T M Bhasin from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
 RBI extends date of exchanging pre-2005 notes to Jan 1, 2015.
 PSU banks need 19,813 more ATMs by March-end to meet target: State-run banks may set up only
14,855 ATMs by December, leaving an uphill task of installing close to 20,000 more cash dispensing
machines by March-end to achieve the target of at least one onsite ATM in every branch.
 Canara Bank names cricketer Shikhar Dhawan as its brand ambassador RK Dubey, Chairman & Managing
Director of Canara Bank said that the bank and Dhawan had a lot in common.
 Exim Bank extends $90 mn line of credit to Republic of Congo: Export-Import Bank of India has, at the
behest of the Government of India, extended a Line of Credit of $89.90 million to the Government of
Republic of Congo, for development of transportation system in the Republic of Congo. The Agreement
was signed in New Delhi, India by Yaduvendra Mathur, Chairman & Managing Director, Exim Bank and FĂ©lix
NGOMA, Ambassador of the Republic of Congo in India. This is the second line of credit to the Government
of the Republic of Congo. With the signing of this Agreement, Exim Bank has now in place 188 Lines of
Credit, covering 75 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, Oceania and the CIS, with credit
commitments of over $10.30 billion, available for financing exports from India.
